First introduced in 1957, the Heresy,
a three-way design, started out as a compact center channel speaker to accompany the
Klipschorn®
in three-speaker stereo arrays. The Heresy IV offers unparalleled sound quality from a
relatively small speaker. It's quite possibly the speaker champion of the world. Whether it’s
for your burgeoning vinyl collection, home theater or whatever, the Heresy IV will knock your
socks off. What they say is true—a little Heresy is good for the soul.
GEAR PATROL
Even if you never turn them on, they are the first thing someone notices in
a room — and when you do turn them on, their clean, crisp sound can impress even the most discerning
speaker aficionados.
Made to rock
Designed & assembled in the USA
With cabinetry that has been proudly built to order and handcrafted in Hope, Arkansas for over 50
years, the Klipsch Heresy IV speaker is a testament to the quality Klipsch demands from each and
every of its audio products. Here’s to 50 more years of Heresy.
They Said He Couldn’t
But he did it anyway. When Paul W. Klipsch was developing a smaller speaker for use
between two
Klipschorns, an acquaintance declared that he couldn’t possibly introduce it to the public
because it was in direct violation of the corner horn principles, and amounted to acoustic
heresy.
“The hell I can’t,“ Mr. Klipsch said. “And that’s exactly what I’m going to call it!“ A
year
later the Klipsch Heresy loudspeaker was introduced and, ironically, it became a bestseller in
the church sound reinforcement market.
The Great American Speaker Company
Our founder, Paul W. Klipsch, was an engineer, inventor, madman and certified genius. He spent
his life trying to bring the world better sound. Since 1946, we have carried on our founder’s
passion for delivering the best home audio experience possible. You’re not buying a speaker –
you’re buying a piece of American audio history built on more than 70 years of badass acoustic
technology.
The Great American Speaker Company
For the first time in its long legacy, the Heresy now features a rear port – improving
low-frequency extension by almost 10Hz, for room-filling bass. Utilizing Tractrix geometry, the
all-new Heresy IV ports allow for the most efficient, fastest air transfer in their class, which
reduces port noise for punchier low frequencies. Klipsch Tractrix ports have custom designed
inner flares that help reduce air turbulence entering the port. Less turbulent air helps reduce
port noise for cleaner, more powerful bass.
Book-Matched Wood Veneer
Klipsch Heritage Series loudspeaker pairs use only book-matched wood veneer panels from the
same
timber. Veneer leaves are kept in order and arranged to provide a mirror image, like turning
the
pages of a book.
