It's not often that I'm wrong about peripherals, more often than not whatever looks cool or sounds cool is eventually simply overkill, or suffers from poor implementation. The Prestigio proved me wrong on more than one count though, and I'll happily admit that even after my short test I was pleasantly surprised with both build quality and functionality of the mouse.

As a Entry to Mid Range gaming mouse, the Prestigio offers all the normal bells and whistles one would expect, 9 programmable buttons, on the fly DP switching, 4 way tilt wheel and rubberized grip surfaces.

In addition though it does have some rather unique features all its own. The right hand pinky rest is one of those features that one normally doesn't see in this class of mouse, but it is extremely well implemented and balances the overall grip perfectly.

It does take some getting used to though, as it differs greatly from the normal "Pinky Drag" experience. Another interesting addition in terms of features is the Lift button, holding this down automatically detects lift distance form mousepad, ensuring that lifting the mouse during movement does not cause any unnecessary cursor movement.

On to the important stuff: I tested the mouse ingame in Wolfenstein and during normal usage. It never let me down, even during frantic combat. Desktop usage was also smooth, with no signs of ghosting or cursor lag. Glide was good all round thanks to the ceramic feet and the weight system added just enough to make the mouse more stable without making it feel like a brick.

At this price range Prestigio has a winner amongst entry level mice."
